St. Peter Catholic Congregation

Parish COVID Update

07 November 2020

Dear parishioners,

Since one of our clergy has tested positive for coronavirus, out of an abundance of caution, our priests will avoid contact with others for the next 10-14 days, self-quarantining and/or self-isolating; they will not be available for any public ministry; please keep them and all the sick in your prayers. Our parish follows all recommended safe practices regarding cleaning and sanitization for our facilities. Following the official Rites for Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest, Communion Services will be held this weekend at both St. Lawrence and St. Peter’s at scheduled Mass times; Deacon Bob Derks and Eileen Belongea will be the prayer leaders; these Communion Services will fulfill the Sunday obligation; Fr. Bob Bales will offer weekend Masses at Resurrection, Allenton. For the time being, weekday Masses and Confessions are hereby suspended.

See You at Mass

We, the members of St. Peter Parish, Slinger, Wisconsin, as a true Christian Community, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, resolve to make our parish a center of spiritual growth and renewal.  We dedicate ourselves to the call of the Mission of the Church by providing Catholic education, formation and moral guidance, based on the Gospel, for all the people of our community.

We accept the challenge to live a Christian life!  We celebrate our relationship with God through Liturgy, Sacraments and prayer.  As a faith-filled community, we promise to be caring and supportive of our brothers and sisters in Christ, who may be hurting spiritually, physically, emotionally or financially.

To foster a just and peaceful society, each member, with his or her talents, time and treasure, will contribute to the good and growth of our entire Parish.  May the Holy Spirit bless our efforts to form a faithful, trusting and loving community!

Annual Mission Appeal

Our Annual Mission Appeal will be conducted the weekend of November 7-8, 2020.  The Mission Group to which we are asked to offer prayerful and financial support is: The Sisters of the Divine Savior.  This is an excellent congregation of Catholic religious women who serve the needs of many in some of the most marginalized regions of the world.  We encourage those wishing to participate by means of this new approach to do so by no later than November 15, 2020.
