Altar Servers

Students from 3rd through 12th grade, as well as adults are invited to become Altar Servers. Serving our Lord is an honor and privilege by assisting Father at Mass.

Communion Distributors

Assist Father with the distribution of Holy Communion under both species. There are five distributors scheduled for each weekend Mass.

Greeters

Greeters welcome parishioners and visitors with a smile, friendly greeting, and offer assistance if needed. No formal meetings. We invite you to join our ministry.

Lectors

Assist with the readings before the gospel, offertory petitions and weekly announcements. The lector leads the procession in and out of church. There is one lector for each Mass.

Ushers

A team of four ushers at each Mass seat parishioners, answer questions, assist parishioners who need help during Mass, and hand out the weekly bulletins. We hold an annual meeting to update our user schedule to insure accuracy.

At St. Peter Parish, we believe in giving all parishioners many different opportunities to participate in Masses or special events. One of the many ways people can participate is by singing in one of the choirs directed by John Puchner. Contemporary Music Combo

This Contemporary Music Combo is made up of instrumentalists, and is a smaller, more tightly focused group, whose music is more contemporary, made for soloists or small groups. They most often lead the 10:30 am Mass. Practice is weekly on Sundays at 8:30 am. 

Sacred Choir

The Sacred Choir sings once a weekend, and focuses on fairly traditional music. Practice is weekly on Wednesdays from 7:15-8:45 pm.

SING!

The SING! group sings up to three times a month, including leading music at Sunday Night Adoration service once a month and 5:00 pm service on Saturdays. This group focuses on more contemporary music made for a large group or to lead the congregation in song. This group is flexible, in that it may join with Sacred Choir for important Masses, or with Contemporary Combo on occasion at 10:30 am Mass. 

Practice is weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Prayer Line accepts requests for prayers which may be needed by members of the parish and their immediate families during times of emergency or illness. Individuals are always encouraged to become members of the prayer line and pray for the needs of others. No meetings. Members are contacted by phone as requests for prayer occur.
