For those students who have completed three years of high school faith formation and are at least 16 years old on the day of Confirmation, we offer a Confirmation Preparation program in addition to the normal 11th grade curriculum.
Confirmation Candidates are expected to attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation, because the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian Life. In the Eucharist, we find the nourishment, strength and unity with Christ to live an authentic Christian life. According to the Third Commandment, God requires us to attend Mass.
Orientation for Confirmation begins in the spring of sophomore year, with programming beginning in early fall. It is time to start discerning who your confirmation sponsor will be and it is time to choose a confirmation saint name. Our program includes the catechetical elements of Community, Worship, Service, and Discernment guiding young people to grow in and discern their faith as they choose to become Disciples of Christ.
