Musical Ministries

At St. Peter Parish, we believe in giving all parishioners many different opportunities to participate in masses or special events.  One of the many ways people can participate is by singing in one of the choirs directed by Andy Smith.  If you are interested in partaking in any of the musical aspects of our parish, you can find info on the different choirs offered, and you can find Andy’s contact information below!

To get involved in any of the following musical ministries,
please contact our Director of Music, Andy Smith at either

The St. Peter’s Parish Adult Choir sings at alternating the 5:00 PM and 7:30 AM Masses. We are always welcoming new members! It is not necessary to read music to make a joyful noise to the Lord. You only need a love for singing. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:25 PM, in the St. Peter School music room.

Our St. Peter Parish children’s choir and hand bells are open to children in grades 3 to 7. We begin practicing in November for the annual Children’s Christmas Mass on December 24th at 4:00 PM. Information and a schedule will be sent home in early October to parents of children in St. Peter Catholic School and the religious education classes.

The St. Peter’s Contemporary Music Ensemble, comprised of youth and adults, leads the worship music during various liturgies throughout the year. Instrumentation includes keyboard, bass, guitar, flute, trumpets, drums and vocals, along with various instruments. Rehearsal is usually Wednesday night from 7:30-9:00 PM at a member’s home. New members are always welcome.

We organize and schedule volunteers for the various ministries which assist Father at each Mass. This committee is also involved in the music provided for services and worship aides. We typically meet the first Tuesday of each month.
